STUDENTS! We invite students who are in grade 7 and up to come out and learn how technical theatre works, by doing it, particularly in the stage crew, props crew, lighting and sound areas.  Remember, the actors on stage are the tip of the pyramid:  without the volunteers behind the scenes, the show could not go on!   Experience is not necessary but a commitment to the task for its duration is required.  Community Volunteer hours can be earned.

HCP is proud to have had many young people start their technical theatre training with them.  Our young people have learned to run events in the Civic Theatre completely on their own!  Our students have run Grey Bruce Singers concerts, dance recitals, theatre shows and professional shows that have been held in the theatre.  A number of our technical volunteers have gone on to university or college to further their theatre education. Students have also gone on, with their acting experience, to take theatre at the college or university level.
