To educate and increase the public’s understanding and appreciation of the arts by providing performances of an artistic nature for the community of Hanover and surrounding areas.
The Hanover Community Players shall be carried on without purpose of gain for its members, and any profits or other accretions to the Organization shall be used solely to promote its objectives.
To produce a broad range of theatrical presentations of the highest possible calibre and to provide an outlet for creative community involvement.
To provide inclusive, hands-on learning opportunities in all aspects of theatre production and management and to provide an enjoyable theatrical experience to area residents
The Hanover Community Players organization is governed by an elected board and a constitution and by-laws. Members elected are all volunteers. Positions are:
Elections are held in each November of a production year. The government year for HCP runs from Nov. 1st to the following Oct. 31st.
Meetings are held once a month, usually on the second Wednesday of every month except July and August. Timed meetings are 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the parish hall of St. James Anglican Church in Hanover. Some exceptions may occur due to unexpected needs.
