What Others Have Said About Bare Bear Bones, the Comedy Play
“It’s a kind of love story,” director Sarah Tellier said, recalling how when she first read the script she couldn’t stop laughing. What really sold it though, according to the director, were the touching moments of love woven between the laughs.
The play follows the couple’s entire weekend as they try to make the best of the situation, barricading their site into a fortress of sorts against the rising tide of bare skin.
“It’s like the Alamo,” said Tellier, noting the production is coming together nicely with a cast of eight. She was quick to note audiences need not fear gratuitous nudity or any for that matter really, as the group has made clever use of props and sets to ensure audiences don’t find the production too revealing.” Sarah Tellier Canalside Players.
Director Linda Lloyd-McKenzie was touched by similar feelings when she chose the play for the Hanover Community Players. The HCP cast has been working just as hard to make the play come alive, along with some interesting use of set and props.
No two productions are ever alike so audiences will see the HCP director's vision of the play. Again, nudity is implied. Please join us at one of our 7 productions.
